Indonesia’s Independence Day at Darsyafii Islamic School
On August 18-19, 2026, all students of Darsyafii Islamic School participated in a special Independence Day Ceremony to commemorate the 81st Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. The ceremony was held as a meaningful moment for the entire school community to honor the nation’s independence and reflect on the values of patriotism, unity, and togetherness.
The ceremony gave students a chance to remember the people and sacrifices behind Indonesia’s independence. It was also a reminder that the freedom we enjoy today is something to be grateful for and never take for granted.
We encourage our students to see gratitude (shukur) not only as something we say, but something we practice. Being grateful for the blessings Allah has given us also means using them well—learning sincerely, respecting others, taking responsibility, and doing our part for the community.
The atmosphere throughout the ceremony reflected the students’ enthusiasm and pride as part of the Indonesian community. Their participation demonstrated that the spirit of independence can continue to live through the younger generation, not only by remembering the past but also by preparing themselves to build a better future for Indonesia.
For our students, the ceremony was more than a commemoration. It was a moment to pause, remember, and appreciate the country they call home. It reminded them that the values of independence can be found in everyday actions: being disciplined, responsible, respectful, resilient, and caring towards others.
We hope this Independence Day serves as a meaningful reminder for our students to carry these values beyond the ceremony and into their everyday lives with faith as their foundation and gratitude in their hearts.
May Allah bless Indonesia and guide our students to grow into individuals who bring goodness wherever they go and become a positive part of Indonesia’s future.
